The Autumn Tag 2014

Thanks to Makeup Savvy for the post.. I have to say that I never really do tags but I do love Autumn so I am doing this tag lol. Autumn to me is enjoying a cup of coffee any time of day. Watching the sunset and the leaves falling off the trees while the the wind takes them away. It makes me feel peaceful. And that whatever problems I have for a moment I don't have them. Anyways moving on with the tag before I get sentimental.

1. Ok we're talking coffee's - what's your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks/Costa/Cafe Nero etc?  

I have to say that coffee early in the morning is a must for me. Weather I'm going to work, running errands or just staying at home. I usually get the pumpkin spice latte or simple a grande coffee with a hint of cinnamon from starbucks. I love love love it.. It makes me feel awake and warm. But even if I'm just at home coffee it is.

2. Accessories - what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves?

I have to say scarves and boots. Scarves alongate my body making me appear taller. Also in some cases when its a bit chill outside I can just take a scarf and be on my way. 

3. Music - what's your favourite music to listen to during Autumn?

For me in general, music changes very often and not do to the seasons just more the mood I'm in. However, I do love the Christmas music makes me feel joy.

4. Perfume - what's your favourite scent for this time of year?

I don't really have a favorite, I always try to change it up because I have so many perfumes and they need to get used up before they get old. But in general I love walking in to anyones home and smell that cinnamon, coffee, and we just made hot chocolate type scent.

5. Candles - what scents will you be burning this season?

I love all the cinnamon mixed with chocolate type scents. Its just so heart warming or the scent of we have apple cobbler, apple pie.. ughh i love it. French vanilla.. all those yummy scents.

6. What do you love most about Autumn?

I love spending time with the family. Inviting friends out for coffee. Staying in and watch movies or Sex in the City marathons. And above all I love Christmas time.

7. Favourite makeup look?

I love makeup in autumn. I love the nudes, browns, oranges and black colors. Smokey eyes with lashes are always a must. The dark vampy lip colors and the blush with a heavy contour like if everyday was a party lol. You can't go wrong with whatever color you decide to wear. 

8. What are you looking forward to most in Autumn?

I think if will be all the yummy food and neutral palettes to come lol. One can never have to many neutrals. The shopping, because its always about going shopping and trying to find all the new displays of the new makeup coming out. But mainly the food and the cooking.

Tarte Rainforest After Dark (Limited Edition) Swatches

I currently own a lot of palettes, my collection has grown so much the last couple of months. When Tarte came out with this limited edition Rainforest After Dark palette I was a bit hesitant if I wanted to buy it or not because of the amount of palettes I already own but I figured it was very travel friendly since you get a blush, highlight, bronzer and six eyeshadows. Very easy to just throw in my makeup bag. All very creamy pigmented and compliments a variety of skin tones.

Highlighter in Champagne (great for inner corner highlight as well)

Bronzer in Park Avenue Princess (also great for transition crease shadow)

Blush in Unleashed -nude rose (very soft compliments all skin tones)

Eyeshadows in
Don't Turn A-Brown -dark brown (can look muddy if not blended correctly)
Tan-gled Up In You -tan (slightly darker than the bronzer)
Up To No Gold - gold (very rich creamy applies/ blends easy)
Plum Away With Me -dark plum (Dark plum with slight shimmer)
Make a Mauve -plum mauve (great for the crease)
Bare to Explore -pink beige (mix with a bit of Champagne to create a perfect under the brow highlight)

I also love that you can mix and match not necessarily using the highlight for just the cheeks or the bronzer just to bronze. I love the light shades for a natural morning look and then add the darker shades for a smoked out evening effect. 

Starting Fresh

Hey beauties, I wanted to welcome everyone and as many might know I deleted my old blogspot officialmisskg because I stopped posting and I decided to start fresh and get back with enthusiasm. I also wanted to change my website to something more beauty related :) I am looking forward to posting a lot of swatches of lipsticks, palettes and all that good stuff.  I hope all my beauties enjoy and give me a lot of suggestions.
