Do you ever find yourself walking back and forth into your pantry wanting to find every snack possible and devour it? I hope it happens to most and not just me. I grew up in a household where snacking was a must and specially during our purification days. Chocolates, pastries to every possible snack on sight. I have yet to master my eating habits and well it's much harder now when there is Netflix and social media at our hands. Also lets not forget that I live with my father and he is the best snacker individual here. He will bring all sorts of snacks from flan, Mexican bread and rueditas fritas. It's quite of a bittersweet situation. However, here are some things I do that help me be a better snacker.
What I do to combat these cravings and what I also do if I can't resist...
- start the day with lots of foods rich in fiber (stomach feels full and helps with digestion)
- drink lots of water throughout the day
- stop buying unhealthy snacks and change it to healthy snacks (fruits preferably)
- buy pre-cut fruits (let's be real who wants to cut a pineapple in the middle of a show)
- no sodas, no bread in your pantry (easy and fast calories that add up quick)
- baby cucumbers are a must
- watermelon is also a must
- guac & chips
- more water
- raspberries and strawberries are my favorite
- dried seaweed
- lightly salted almonds
